I will be there, not sure if Doug is working.
Sorry to hear there were misunderstandings/hurt feelings at the last meeting.
My first group ride, Jimbo (ride leader) had me ride in front by him. My thought was I should ride in the back, so I wouldn't hold up those who were behind me. I found out, being an inexperienced rider, it was much easier for me to concentrate on just the one person in front of me. I rode close to the front, during the next few group rides until I felt I was comfortable enough to blend into the rest of the riders.
Group riding can be intimidating if you're unfamiliar with it. I know any comments made about the "quality" of rides are not intentionally meant to insult, hurt or offend anyone. If something is not working the way it should, I would rather hear about it as a preventative measure than after an incident has happened. The safety for our riders is a priority. Thanks for reading.
