Barnett clutch
« on: January 27, 2011, 12:25:43 PM »
Anyone running a Barnett clutch out there?  If so did you replace just the just the clutch plate/spring or the plate/spring and disk pack too?  Is the clutch lever force the same as the stock clutch.  Has some slipping in 4th and 5th gear and replaced the stock spring with a Speedstar performance clutch spring and now the clutch lever feels too heavy!

Sparks; I had Tousley replace my stock clutch last year with a Barnett (complete) noticed only a silt difference in the clutch lever force, but now it feels normal, The raider is a hydraulic clutch though, I know when I had my 2001 Roadstar after putting a Barnett in it (also complete) the clutch lever force felt a little heavy at first, but never had any slipping problems with a Barnett.

Jimbo; got the new Barnett clutch in and went for a ride!  Clutch lever force about the same but much smoother clutch engagement than the stock clutch!!  So far I highly recommend Barnett clutches and it was an easy install!  Worst part of the job was getting the old gasket material removed!

I need help.  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D  I purchased the lowering bolt for the back of my bike.  We had some hard luck with % of pay being taken away from Slim and I lost 4 hours a week.
Tousley wants to charge me $125.00 to put this little part in, we just can't swing it.  I have a 2008 Yamaha v-star 650.
If anyone knows how or wants to put it in for me that would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Munchkin

Steve will call you and bring it over during the week, maybe the two of you can put your heads together and do it.
