St Jude Ride - Sun, 06-12-2016

I'll be leading a ride to the south.  More details to come below.

This will more than likely be the 6th Annual St. Jude Ride and will be has been rebranded as such.  Eagle Bob has organized this fundraiser for 6 years now(!) and will have info packets to hand out shortly.

I'd like to coordinate with our SE Minn chapter (526) for them to join us mid-route.  And of course members from all chapters are encouraged to join us!  If you can't join us, please sponsor a rider (or the road captain ).
Update:  The pre-ride went great; wish y'all could've joined Bob and me!  I think people will love this route!    I managed to add a couple new roads and it all works nicely.

We will meet at The Point and leave at 9:30a.  First gas stop is at lunch at 110 miles so plan accordingly.  We will meet any Chapter 526 members that can join us at the Kwik Trip in Pine Island. at about 11am.  This is not a planned gas stop for the TC folks, so grab hydration only please.

Lunch will be at Slippery's in Wabasha, then gas at the Kwik Trip there.  We'll end up back in Pine Island before heading north.  If there is interest, and sky is still smiling on us, there is a planned ice cream stop on the way home.

On our ride south last Friday, I found another nice road that I'd like to link in to this route.  I'll have the route finalized and pre-ridden early to mid week.  I'll post final details in the next couple days.

Well, the rain has moved through (for most of us), and it looks like we'll have a dry day ... and cooler than yesterday!  Unfortudately, Bob is still in the thick of it and will have to join us mid ride.  Kathy and I will leave for  The Point in about half an hour.  We're looking forward to a great day of riding!

Yep, and we avoided the early rain.  After the clouds left, it was a beautiful day.  Good friends, good food and good riding.  Thanks Eagle Bob and Alan for this ride.  Sorry I missed the ice cream stop, but my wife and I went to one of the historical sites later on and enjoyed the cold delight.
