Looks like we wont make it.  A large tree branch fell on our driveway and blocked us in.  I'll have to get out the chain saw, and I doubt I'll get us cut out in time for the meeting.  See ya'll at the next one.

Its an uphill run in any direction leaving our neighborhood and all are blocked by jacknifed big rigs and idiots in cars stuck in sideways positions  .  Just wanted to make a run to the liquor store to stock up but can't even make that.  Good luck to all who try the roads.

First of all, I want to thank everyone who struggled to get to the meeting this morning.  It was interesting to say the least, trudging through the snow.  A big thanks to Century for putting up with us, considering they had no power. 

I thank the membership for the nomination and boy will it be a cliff hanger at the election meeting next month.   

I would spend a few bucks campaigning against my opponent, but since there is no one else, looks like I save a little money....   

Anyway, thanks for thinking I can do this job.  There is some big shoes to fill, but I will try.  See you all at the next meeting.

Such dedication to our chapter by its members as was displayed yesterday by its members to brave the weather we had to be at the meeting, I was very impressed and proud of you all for being their and happy to see that I was not the only nut in the tree  and then to not have any power at the dealership or any signals working along the way what a day, and a big thank you to Century for staying open and putting up with us 
My congratulations to Pat Calkins Nominated for the 2011 President and to Duane Olson Nominated for the 2011 VP, I know the both of you will do a great job as the Prez and VP of 444 and will make it grow and be an awesome chapter to belong to,
A super big thank you to lucky and Tulip and others that helped on the tee shirt project, the shirts are awesome.
See all of you at the Dec 11th meeting at Tousley for the Vote (Just a formality as we already know who the Prez & VP will be)

Thanks Jimbo (for being one of the best chapter presidents out there), Lucky and Tulip.  Great job on those tee shirts.   

Just wanted to say, we missed all of the other members, but we most certainly understand that some were not able to attend.  Finally got my drive way shoveled this morning, and that was defiantly a heavy snow!!!!  The heart attack kind, if you know what I mean.   

Glad to see that some of our members, who were injured, are out an about.  We are so lucky that things weren't more serious.  I have a very good friend from years ago, who had a very bad accident on his bike this past summer.  Brain swelling, broken hip, leg badly damaged, etc.  Riding motorcycles is a dangerous hobby, but if we play it safe, and anticipate trouble before it finds us, it can be a very rewarding experience.  This winter won't last forever, so keep those warm thoughts going until we can hit the byways again.   

I have often said, riding my bike on a warm day with a wind at your back, is one of the most delightful things I can do.  We must all keep our knees in the breeze.  Life is short, live it to the fullest everyday.

Sorry, I missed the meeting, but I could not be more pleased with the nominations extended and accepted.
Great past times with Chapter 444 because of excellent leadership, and now a great future to anticipate ahead.
