SAFETY FIRST
« on: October 19, 2010, 07:07:04 AM »
Cliff sent these words of wisdom to me by way of personal email thinking it would hit home better if it came from me, I disagree, I have road with Cliff since 2006 we have put allot of miles on together and have been through a number of accidents in those years of riding together, he has been 444's tailgunner since the start of the chapter and his opinion is highly valued, I will before the end of my term work with our safety officer and the chapter on rider down.

 Riders should allow enough time and space at intersections to allow the rider in front of them to move. Each rider should be prepaired to stop if the rider in front of them has a problem. To ea-re on the side of safety is a good thing and remember not to anticipate someone else move. Have your exit rout planed at each corner or intersection.
Thanks
Cliff

Jimbo/Ole;
I couldn't agree more with that. When we assume and anticipate an action there are problems just waiting for us. I also agree we couldn't ask for a better or more reliable/honest tailgunner, thanks Clif.

Cliff you did a great job handling the situation and I wouldn't ask for a better person behind me running the tail end like you did.
The only thing I remember is blacking out on my way down and then I was fine menatally when I was on the ground and then shock steppen in and took care of me, and Cliff.
It is good to have a clear mind behind you to see and tell exactly what happened.
It is all good and we will learn from all of this.  Thank God Charm wasn't behind Lucky.

Munchkin,
I will second that. Take care of yourself and I will call you again to see how things are going later in the week.
