Darwin Days
« on: July 27, 2011, 09:31:18 AM »
From the 404 events calendar.....

It's time to plan for Darwin Days.  The date is August 13, 2011 in beautiful downtown Darwin Minnesota.  We'll journey there to witness the magnificence that is the Twine Ball and maybe become part of the parade like last year.

So, with that invite in mind, for those south of the "River"  we'll meet in Burnsville at the Transit Station on Hwy 13 and Nicollet ave. at 8:30 with kickstands up at 8:45.  For those north of the River, we'll meet you in Firemens park in Chaska at or around 9:30.  We'll take some scenic back roads to Darwin for the festivities.

So, have your bike clean, your tank filled with a liquid energy source, and your best and cleanest clothes on and let's ride.

I would appreciate it if people would respond that they are or aren't going so I have some idea what kind of mob I'll have following me.

See you Saturday, August 13 for our annual Twine Ball Run.

The original post that I put up about this ride came from Chapter 404.  I went back to their calendar to see if anything had changed and discovered that the information that I copied from their calendar has been removed.  So............   I don't know what their plans are for this ride.  If one is interested, I suggest contacting 404 to see if they are still planning on this ride.

A HEADS UP:  The ride is still on for Saturday!  Gary Dagsgard, aka, Hogan will be leading the ride.  The info wasn't removed.  It's found under the official 404 rides.  Our monthly meeting was cancelled.  We hope some of you can make it!

The 404 calendar entry linked to a "silent" topic.  The info is at this 404 topic.

Sounds like a nice ride!  Kathy and I will be riding to, and staying at, a friend's cabin in northern Wisconsin.  Hoping our ride Friday evening and everyone's weekend rides stay dry and safe!  Enjoy!!  ;D ;D ;D

See you all Monday! ;D
