Sorry all,

I won't make it again.  Debbie won a trip to Orlando from Feb 20-24.  Then I leave for China again from Feb 25-Mar 15.  Isn't semi-retirement interesting?

That's ok, we understand.  We will miss you and Debbie, but I wouldn't pass up a free trip to a warmer climate either. 

Have fun and give the Chinese hell for us.

Anyone want to try the place across the street by the sports dome for lunch after the meeting? I have never been there but it is close.

Sorry we missed the meeting but we had a send off to go to for my nephew. He will be deploying to Afghanistan in a few weeks. I told him to send me his address when he gets their and we would send a care package to him. He is a good man and we wish him a safe tour. I ask that we keep him and all that serve in our prayers. Well I have not sold the bike yet so we are looking for ways to keep things afloat for now and I have made some progress in redusing some bills. Things are getting better and I am hoping that things work out so I can keep the bike. Cindy is back on her feet and her mom is doing much better, Thanks for all your prayers!

Thanks to all who attended our Chapter meeting on Saturday.

I sometimes don't express myself too well verbally.  So I would like to help explain my departure as your President after 2013. 

First of all, it has been my pleasure to be your President these 3 years.  Like I said at the meeting, it is time for me to step down and let some new blood infuse new ideas and fun into our Chapter.  Surely there is someone who can do a better job than me.  Start thinking about it now, because 2014 will be here before you know it.  I do want this Chapter to continue to grow and continue to have FUN. 

I am not going anywhere.  I will be a member of this Chapter as long as I am able to.  I will continue to be your Vets rep, if the membership and the new President so choose.  It has also been my pleasure to serve with our other officers of this Chapter.  They do a fine job, in front of the members and behind the scenes. 

Jimbo has been a huge help in guiding me with our Chapter.  He was there after I took over to help and I will be there to help the new 2014 President as well.  It is truly a group effort. 

So, 2013 will be a great year for our STAR Chapter with all of the things happening this year.  Looking so forward to the upcoming riding season.  We are going to have FUN.

Pat I thank you for your years of service to our group. I have never heard anyone but you say anything negative and your leadership. As someone who has served in a leadership roll for a group before I understand that you get burntout after a time and want to let someone else do it.

I believe I speak for the group when I say job well done.
