Galena Weekend Trip

Paul is going to join us this weekend I talked to the view and they will put a cot in my room as all the 2 queen rooms are gone.

Got you covered Bear.  I switched you an Paul to the two queen room and moved Debbie and me to the single queen.  We've got a few extra people riding with us to southern MN and/or IA.  I'm getting a count for lunch.

OK, here is the final route to Galena.  The plan on Sat is leave for breakfast in Hanover at 9:00, then about a two hour ride (pretty much the same morning route as last trip) to Galena.  About 2 - 2 1/2 hours to walk around Old Town and grab a later lunch.  Leave by 2:00 for about a 3 hour ride into Iowa back to Illinois and circle back to Elizabeth around 5:00 or so.  Dinner will be served around 7:00.

When we arrive at the Motel, we can order food to be delivered or Andy will go pick it up while we unpack.  He has menus.

Bear - We lost one person for lunch, we are down to 11 of us.

Hi Everyone,

This is the first chance I've had to jump on the forum.  It was a miserable trip to China.  The last flight from Shanghai to Xi'an was delayed three hours.  Got to the hotel at midnight after 29 hours of travel.  Got up the next morning and made a 4 hour bus ride through the mountains.

Just wanted to say thanks to everyone that went to Galena.  I'm sorry about missing the turn on Hwy 52 on Saturday and doing a "4-laner".  Not too exciting on a bike.  Hopefully I will get a chance to pre-ride before I plan another trip down there.  BEAR - Did you and Paul ride back from Savanna on 52?  If so, was it nice?

Chappy we took 52 all the way home it was a good road. Paul said he saw you and Debbie in Cannon Falls when we were stopped for gas.

Too bad we didn't get to ride Hwy 52 on Sat.  It would have been nice even in the rain.  We saw Paul when we left Mcdonalds in Cannon Falls.  We had a slightly long breakfast in Guttenberg, then made a couple extra stops along the way.  Didn't make it home as fast as I wanted to, but it was still a good weekend.  I would have been great if the weather was like the last trip.
