Ok guys boss approved my vacation so I'm actually able to plan a ride as a road captain...

Will be leaving Sunday Aug 13 and return Aug 20
Planning a nice leisurely scenic ride 2 days out to rapid city and will be 2 days back.

Still working on specifics and locking down lodging info. So I'll be sure to post that info in the very near future..

I have blocked out rooms at the Super 8 Motel in rapid city
Mon-fri Sat checkout the group rate is 76.00 per night.

I've talked with Doug last night he wants to high tail it home Saturday so for the people wanting to get home fast that would be a option.

As for the ride out I have a idea of the 2 day ride out once I lock down a end point for Sunday ill have hotel info for that.

ive blocked off 15 rooms and we have till july 13 to book them. keep in mind this is the last day of the rally so most hotels within 400 miles of the rally will fill up before july

54.00 plus tax for 1 bed
they have other rooms available as well ranging from 65-72.00 which I think is extremely fair. I priced out the super 8 which couldn't accomidate us because they are booked almost solid already they were 95.00 a night for a 2 bed

we will ride hiway 212 to south Dakota stopping at the Dew Drop Inn Sunday night 300 miles Day 1

Day 2 will leave for rapid city when the group is ready 244 miles to hotel in rapid city.

ill have more rides for each day of the trip once I have more of an idea on the size of group ill be leading.

Due to me starting a new job and not having vacation available I'm going to cancel this ride.

It's not all bad news though I get my weekends back so.ill be planning rides on Saturdays now

This never got posted on the state forum (until today).  I'm not a fan of multiple postings to different forums.  For the slight bit of visibility that it might give, it creates confusion on details - and this was a big one.
