We are going to do one last preride on July 24(sat) anyone who would like to join us are more than welcome. There is still road construction on some of the first part so i may have to plan around them. We will be at the McDonald's on 96 ave at 8:30am to get something to eat and leave around 9:30am. To get there take 94 west to exit 213 turn left go over I-94 turn right on 96Th Ave N. If coming from the west on 94 take the 213 exit and cross Maple Grove Parkway. If you think you would like to go on this ride Aug 1 please let me know so I can give the park people a ruff count that might like to see the museum. Also would everyone like to eat first or after going to the museum?

OK everyone we rode the plan route and with a couple of new detours well mark we are good to go for next Sunday. With plan stops we will need to meet up at 8:30 am with Kick stands up at 9:00am. Any Road Captains who plan on doing this ride please come a little early so I can go over the route with you. We will meet At Menards across from Holiday, there is a McDonald's near also for those who need something to eat before we leave. The ride to the Museum will take about 4.5 hours with rest and gas stops, we will cover 167 miles one way. This is a destination ride, to do everything there it will 1.5 to 2 hours. The tour of the house is 1 hour long there is a half hour move about Charles Lindbergh which stars on the half hour house part starts on the hour last one starts at 4pm. Parking at the museum is free, not across at the park. We will wait till everyone has gone through the tour and we have a route home not using Hwy 10 or 94. Those who want to go there own way 10 and cross to 94 on 24 or 25 is the faster way around 89 miles to exit 213.
The following is the directions to Menards and route:
To get to Menards take 94 west to exit 213 turn left go over I-94 turn right on 96Th Ave N. If coming from the west on 94 take the 213 exit and cross Maple Grove Parkway. Start at Menards off of 96ht Ave.
Turn right on Maple Grove Parkway.
Turn right on Co Rd 30
Turn left on Co Rd 19
Turn right on Co Rd 10
Stay straight and cross Hwy 55 which becomes Co Rd 50
Co Rd 50 becomes Co Rd 17
Turn right on Co Rd 20
Turn left on Co Rd 127 Which is the Co Rd 20 detour
Turn right on Co Rd 24
Turn left on Co Rd 10
Go to round about for west Hwy 7
Go to next round about for north Hwy 25
At the intersection of Hwy 25 & Co Rd 10 we go straight on Co Rd 10 which becomes Co Rd 13
Turn left on Co Rd 30
Turn right on Co Rd 6
Turn left on 7th street
Turn right on 10th Ave and cross Us Hwy 12 continue on Co Rd 6
Left on Hwy 55
Right on Oak Ave N then right on Park Street/Hwy24 In Clear Lake we have short detour Just before US Hwy 10 a left turn on US Hwy 10 we will stop at the BP
At the BP we will turn left on Co Rd 6
Turn right on Co Rd 16 Then Turn Left on Hwy 25
Turn left on Hwy 27 Follow the Hwy 27 detour to Little Falls, MN
Turn left on Lindberg Drive in Little Falls
Museum is on the left side
Total miles 167
I am planing a lunch stop at Foley, MN there is a Subway and McDonald's. I plan 1 hour or till everyone has finish eating.
I gave the museum staff a rough count of people that might go on this. I need a better count no latter Thurday so I can call them They will put on more staff to better take care of us so please let me know on the form by Thursday.

For those of us that are a little slow......  can you give me the address of the Menards, so I can mapquest it and meet you there?

Or is there a dealer in the area we can meet at?

The jury is still out for me going on the ride.  I will find out tomorrow if I can pick up my new bike this week.  It would be fun to break it in with a nice ride out west.  However, we have a previous commitment to watch our granddaughter that day.  It's a wait and see thing right now.

I told my wife and kids, plan nothing for me on Sunday, because I will be gone all day.  (riding)

If it is hot, we should plan on more small water break stops along the way?

I will plan on doing that we do want to get there by 3pm, so two hours of tours to the house are left. I thought of starting earlyer but some have a rider just to get to Menards. Any thoughts?

Ranger,

I'm thinking of possibly meeting you in Foley.  You say about noon?  Have a good ride if I can't make it.
