Lanesboro Scenic Ride

Here is the skinny on the Lanesboro ride, I just completed it, so here are a few details.

Ride date: Sunday June 13, 2010
Kickstands up Century Power and Sports @ 9:30am
Length of ride: 250 miles
I just rode this and got back around 6:00PM

I am trying to plan a lunch that will be ready when we get there so I will need a count on how many are coming at least 1 week in advance. Please use this form to let me know.

Many windy roads, we will be coming back on US 61, Minnesota side staying along the Mississippi River. The speed limit is 65 MPH for all you new riders along this stretch. This will be a pretty big day in the saddle especially if it is windy etc. Safety is my primary concern. Anyone that has not already done a long ride by then might think twice about coming for your own safety and comfort. Not to worry as I have 2 more long rides planned for later on in the season.

Ride will be canceled if it is raining at the start

Whats the route south going to be , is there a convenient spot and time for those of us south to meet up with you without riding up to Century.  Would love to make the ride without the additional 50 miles to get to Century and then backtrack to the south.

Yes all other chapters are invited and we can pick you all up at the gas station on Hwy 61 and 10 north of Hastings. You all know where this is as we have met many times at this location. The time to leave there with us will be around 10:00am to 10:20am as we need to get there ourselves
