Wow, it was nice to see so many people at the meeting today and for the ride following!
Unfortunately for us, Kathy and I had to cut the ride short and head back to Tousley. A very big
thanks to Jimbo for noticing the oil leak on my bike! I had just got it back from Tousley on Thursday for service that included a valve adjustment. Jeremy took it back himself and found the problem - a cracked o-ring on the front cylinder cover.
They didn't have the $3 o-ring in Parts, so they took one off a new 1300 on the showroom floor. Anyway, about a 30-45 minute wait or so and we were back on our way. Tomorrow and Monday we still hope to bike through southern Minnesota and the LaCrosse area. Sorry we missed the rest of the ride today; we'll see what what next Saturday brings. On Sunday the 12th we will be on two wheels but no engine as we bike the St. Paul Classic Bike Tour.
