Boot Mark removal from pipes
« on: September 07, 2010, 04:40:59 PM »
I thought I would post this to remove those nasty boot marks from my pipes. I use ZEP ERASE vandal mark remover. You will still need to rub like heck with a towel but the marks will come off and has not effected my chrome on the pipes.
I hope this helps those like me that can't seem to keep their heals off the pipes. ::)

I've been using Blue Magic Chrome Polish.  It also works well.  It seems the kids have a knack for stepping on the pipes, so I've had to polish them frequently.  Jessie's pipes had some shoe goo on them that had been baking for over a year, those took some elbo grease to get clean, but it eventually came off with no damage to the chrome.  The new scuffs come off fairly easily.
