17th Annual Swan Run
« on: October 13, 2010, 08:26:02 AM »
It's the 17th Annual Swan Run to (maybe) see the Arctic Tundra Swans in Alma, WI, on Sunday, November 7th, 2010.

Ride registration begins @ 8 a.m. from Fury Motorcycle, 740 North Concord Avenue, South St. Paul, MN 55075, with the ride leaving @ 10 a.m.
The Fury Motorcycle crew is even providing us with a FREE pancake breakfast to get us started!

The ride is expected to last all day, including 3 stops along the way to warm-up. Lunch will be @ Slippery's in Wabasha, MN.
The optional lunch buffet costs $10.00 each, including a non-alcoholic drink & tax.

This is definitely a ride for the hardy, well-equipped motorcyclist. While it's often cold at the beginning of the ride, it always seems to warm-up enough during the day to make the ride a pleasurable experience. So, put on whatever you wear to keep you warm when you ride your motorcycle.  Last year was a beautiful ride & a lot took their own routes and met up @ Slippery's!

Hey, and the long range forcast, if you can believe those people, looks like it might be near 60 that day.  Let's hope so.

Well, it looks like I won't be able to go on that run, because we are celebrating my middle daughters 25th birthday.  Oh well, maybe I will get out a couple of days with both bikes sometime this next week or the week after.

Shucker;
Now wait a minuet don't be so hasty. You Birthday gift to her could be, letting her and your bride being able to spend quality time together, with out you interfering with the girl talk. Try and spin it that way and see if it floats. ;D ;D ;D My daughter just turned 34 and I tell her the best present I could give her is to have her go out with her friend and have a good time without Dad slowing her down. I'm allways here to help a fellow member. ;)

Well........ as it turns out, I might be able to make the ride after all.  Funny, but my daughter wants me to go on the ride and when I get back, we can celebrate then.  She is sooooooooo sweet.

I like how you refuse to say that bad word....  S*&^^%$#  Weather looks good for Sunday at this point.

I'll see you at Fury's motorcycle dealership.  Don't know how long I can ride, cause I have to kind of cut it a little short.  Would like to eat at Slipperys, but not sure yet.  The cold temps shouldn't bother me, I rode home from work the other night and it was in the 30's and I dressed for it and was quite warm, considering.  And that was without a windshield (the dog).

Debbie has a meeting from 8:00-10:00 that morning, so she won't make.  I will probably try to go.  Jimbo, give me a call if you decide to go and we can ride to Fury together.

I encourage all 444 members and any other chapter members to go on this ride, providing of course you have the thermal fortitude.   ;) ;) ;) ;) ;)    (and if you haven't put your bike away for the winter)

But, remember, that is the daylight savings day, so don't forget to fall back one hour on your clocks late Saturday night.
