Here is the current status.  The rooms are $65.00 per night (2 nights) +tax.  There are 3 smoking rooms and 8 non-smoking.

3 Smoking Rooms -
1.  Slim & Munchkin
2.  Lucky & Charm
3.  (Tinman & Scooter are a maybe)  Anyone can claim this room ahead of them.

8 Non-Smoking Rooms
1.  Chappy & White Swan (Me)
2.  Ranger & GW
3.  Alan (Webmaster) & Kathy
4.  (Dorf [Ken W.] and Shannon are a maybe)
5.  Bruce & ?
6.  Ted & ?
7.  Tom F. & ?
8.  ?

By the way. . . ignore the question marks above.  This is certainly not a couples only ride.  If anyone's spouse is bear hunting or some such thing and they want to go, I say yes.  And any couples that want to double up to save money, you can split the motel rooms, no additional charge.  There are two double beds in each room.  Also if this motel sells out, and you still want to go, there are other motels in the area.  You can still come and hang out with us around the fire in the evening.

I spoke with Andy today.  He is still willing to cook for us.  It will run $12-$15 per person.  He needs to know a month in advance.  He goes to Sam's club and buys everything and does all the food preparation on his huge grill.  He has discontinued this for most groups because they do not tip very well.  I'd like to propose that the chapter put up the tip to insure it is adequate.  I suggest BBQ chicken and angus burgers to keep it simple.  He will make potato salad and beans to go with them.  Andy is a trained chef and it should be good.  Everyone will bring their own beer or wine or?

Any thoughts or suggestions?

You DA Man, I say yes to the cookout and I would think that we all could come up with enough to tip him well. If the chapter wants to pick up the tip that's cool. I can't wait to go we love it there, wine tasting at the local winery and Italian food and great roads. Should we get a hold of them and pay for our rooms or wait for awhile. Thanks for the great effort to get this together.

Any time you want to you can reserve one of the rooms.  They are under Duane Olson for those two nights.  Just let them know you are with our motorcycle group.  I have a list of rooms and the beds that are available.  I will provide that list tomorrow at noon.  It was faxed to my office tonight.  You might want to choose one specifically.  Some have one queen bed, the others have two queen beds.

I would like to go, but not sure that far out yet.  If all else fails, I'll just rent some room close by and gather with you guys for all of the other social gatherings.

Wow!   Work has kept me off the forum for awhile, and I missed ALOT!

Jessie and I would love to go, but we don't know when our babysitters (her parents) will be in town.  If it turns out we can go and The View is booked, we'll get something close by and join everyone at the fire pit.

I called them and he requested that you fill the list with names, and when it is full or all the people that are going, to mail it back to him. That way he gets the list filled out with the phone # for that person and he calls them to confirm and get there card # to hold it. So I would like room # 12. It is a single Queen bed smoking I will look for it on the list in the forum.
