In the future (this does not include national patches & rockers) if you have a specific place on your vests that you want patches sewn on to, lay the vest on a flat surface (lighter in color then the vest) with the patch or patches placed were you want them, then take a picture of the vest and print the picture, two pictures if your having patches on both sides, give the picture to me along with the vest, Remember do not place patches over pockets as you will loose the pocket as i can not sew inside a pocket with my machine.
