Greetings all,
Just a quick observation and note about riding in our Chapter (and other chapters for that matter).
When riding in a group such as ours, it is always important to "ride you own ride". I know we say that over and over, but when it comes down to it, it really means what it says. If you can't keep up with a ride, for whatever reason, there is no shame in falling behind. The ride captain will wait and they do not mind, nor do any members. We all have differant riding skill levels and if something doesn't feel right, make it right.
Plus, we should all follow the posted speed limits on the hiways and in these small towns which we come into frequently. There is a tendency to speed a little in both situations, but as a Chapter we must follow the law and obey all speed limits. Besides being safer, it would be very costly to get ticketed by the local law enforcement authorities. We must set an example for all motorcycle riders and the public, which notices what we do as a group.
So, let's ride, but ride lawfully and safe. We have been very lucky in our Chapter that nobody has been seriously hurt on any mishap that has happened to our members, and we want to keep it that way.
Thanks for your time and understanding.
