  There is no cost to the ride but donations are appreciated.
• Formation –Honor Parade: 11:15 a.m.
• Honor Parade: 11:45 a.m. (Main Street to 5thStreet)
• Memorial Ride: 12:30 p.m.

Return to the Hitching Post after the Memorial Run…

• $7.00 Meal Cost
• Pulled Pork Sandwiches
• Chips
• Cole Slaw
• Soda

All proceeds will be going to the 9/11 Memorial Park

Here is what I received in email about this 9-11 thing in Marshall.

There is a revised ride waiver and park activities poster so I thought I’d send that out.  I appreciate your helping with this.  If there are any questions feel free to e-mail me or call my office phone at 507-929-6300.  For the Honor Parade/Motorcycle Ride everyone will meet at the Hitching Post on the south side of Marshall at 1104 East Main Street.  The schedule will be:

 

9:45 am                                -- volunteers arrive

10:00 am – 11:00 am       -- Ride Waivers completed and meal count tickets handed out

11:15 am                              -- Formation for Honor Parade/ Motorcycle Ride

11:30 am                              -- head north on Main Street to be ready to join the Honor Parade

11:45 am                              -- Honor Parade starts

After Honor Parade ends – Continue north for Motorcycle Ride or return to either the Memorial Park or Hitching Post.

The ride returns to the Hitching Post where there will be a meal available for $7.00 with all the proceeds going to the Memorial Park Fund

There will also be commemorative shirts and pins for the event that look really sharp.  Also, if you would pass this along to anyone else you think might be interested in participating that would be greatly appreciated.

OK, here is my plan.  I will lead this ride to Marshall and back.  Anyone can join me or not.  It is up to you. It will probably be a little chilly early in the morning but it looks to heat up as the day goes on.  

We will meet at exit # 76 on Interstate 35 (that is south of Lakeville).  We will go west on 260th then south on Natchez Ave. Then west on State Hwy 19 all the way to Marshall.  

The return trip back will be Hwy 23 north to Hwy 212 all the way back to the Twin Cities.  

Meet at 7:00am at the exit 76 on Interstate 35

Obviously I did not preride this route, so who knows what we will run into.  It will be an adventure all the way.  I plan on getting us back to the Twin Cities well before the dear start to roam.  Plan on wearing your Chapter vest for the Parade.

I sure wish we could join you but we have an annual event that's always the Sunday after Labor Day.

We will see you all there. We are going to get an earlier start, will leave from Target off of Rockford rd and 494 at 6:15 am, will stop for food off of 212. Route for us is 494-212-23. Plannig on riding back with you all! Any one who wants to join us, we will ride a little slower for any new riders.

Come one come all, this may be one of the last good weather weekends of this season.  (I hope not, but you never know) 

Glenda and Rich, we will see you there.  You are going down the same route as I planned on coming back.  I will be the tired one, I get home Saturday night at about midnight and I have to leave my house at 6:00am.  Oh well.
