Fall Riding it's the best.

As the season changes we need to think of the new hazards on the road.
The trees are dropping their fruit and you will see acorns, wallnuts, apples and other things on the road during this time of year.
Take some extra time and slow down and expect the unexpected. The deer are running and the birds are flocking on the sides of the road. It is difficult to see them as the colors change and the roads become covered in leaves. The temperatures are changing rapidly form sun up to sun set and you should be prepaired for the cold and heat all in the same day. If you take the time to prepair yourself for the change in season you will avoid many problems and have a extended riding season. And one other note just because it is cooler out you still need to drink water to stay hydrated during your ride. Lets all take the the time to be safe during this riding season and help others be safe as well.

The end of October and some are still out riding. I just saw some news that Bear was on the road?  Look out I hear he is a wild thing and likes wine??? Be safe out their and don't let the Bear bite you :P ??? ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D Great day for a ride.

you were write  Cliff  it was a great day for a ride and the 6 of us had a good time.
Bear got 12 bottles of wine that should last him till he gets home ;D :D ::)
there were a lot of bikes out today , to bad more from our group couldn't make it.

And I might add, coming home at midnight at 30 some degrees is quite the brisk ride...   ;) ;)

Bob I took a ride north and lots of bikes on 95. I think most are getting in what they can till the white stuff falls.

it was 28 degrees when i left the house this morning, that was a brisk ride even had frost on the ground

OK. . . I'm getting depressed.  yesterday was a good day to ride.  I, however, got stuck picking up some furniture from HOM Furniture and spent the day assembling the "Chinese junk" and taking two of the four chairs back to exchange.  Felt like a wasted day considering I should have been riding.  That's the penalty for working in Iowa all week.  I only get the weekends to get things done.  Glad everyone had fun on the ride.  My stepson Mike brought my old 1100 back today for storage, so I got to ride it to the car wash and back.  Whoo Hoo! ! !

It was cold riding to work today, coming home. I think I will ride Thursday and Friday. :) ;D After that it may be time to put our RSTD to bed for her long winter nap. :'(
