Ride to Maiden Rock Winery on Saturday

If it is a nice day I many ride down to the Winery in Maden Rock WI and I wanted to see if anyone wanted to go along.

This is not a long ride Maiden Rock is less then 1 1/2 hours from the Point but they have several types of Mead and some good wines. I was going to stock up alittle for winter and pick up a few bottles for gifts.

I was planning to leave the point about 10:30 or 11:00, let the day warm up alittle and stopping some place for lunch on the way.

If it is cold rainy or very windy I do not plan go but as of now they are talking low 50s and I can live with that.

If anyone wants to ride along let me know. If no one responds I will not be stopping at the point so please let me know if you want to go.

I will have to see what the weather does, to get to the point by 10:30 I  will need to leave our house by 9:00.

Tously would be better, only 35 minutes from home. Will have to see what the weather is like. I have Sat now if the weather is better on Sat maybe we could go on Sat?

I'd like to go Bear, but I am afraid if I don't start raking my leaves soon, the wife is going to get real irritated.

Sunday doesn't work for me and I don't drink wine, but I'd still be interested in the ride on Saturday.  Also, I don't know what or where the point is so meeting at Tousley would be better.  Thanks.

Cindy, just for a point of reference in the future.  "The Point" is at the intersection of Hwy 61 and Hwy 10.  There is a gas station and a restaurant at that location too.

Good job on arrainging a ride.  I hope that a few more people will join you.  Saturday looks to be the nicer of the week-end days.  Wish I could join in, but work always gets in the way.  Maybe someday I will be retired like Eagle Bob.

Thanks for a nice ride today Bear, and to Bob and Rich and Glenda as well.  I put on about 160 miles before I filled the tank with some non-oxy; I guessing Rich and Glenda put a few more miles on.  With our group we came away with 20 bottles of wine.  Bear, ya gotta work something out with them for the business.

There still were plenty of bikes on the road, especially in the afternoon.  Don't park 'em yet!
