Tall sissy bar

Robin wants me to put a higher sissy bar and backrest on the 1300 tourer. So I think no problem that should be easy.  Wrong.

Taller bars don't fit in the mounts for the short one, you have to buy all new for about $400. I also want to add a rack on the back of it so add another $150.

Anyone have any ideas?
