Waldoch Dinner Ride
« on: April 25, 2012, 07:00:27 PM »
Waldoch Sports is going to sponsor a dinner ride on Wednesday, June 13th.  He will post notices at the store, on their web site, on Facebook, and advertise in the Forest Lake paper.  He will try to interest new riders to stop in and investigate what riding in a group is like.  John is going to provide a dinner spread at Waldoch Sports from 6:00pm to 7:00pm.  After dinner I will lead a short scenic ride (1 1/2 hours?) out to Scandia, Marine on St. Croix and circle back to White Bear Lake or Hugo.  It will provide new riders not currently associated with any of the Chapters the opportunity to try riding in a group.  I would like to see a nice turn out of Star riders to support the event and help any new folks feel welcome and have a good experience.

I'm creating a flyer and will add a link to it when it's done.

Ella can't make it, she's working, but I expect to be there since it currently isn't raining.

Turned out to be a great night for a ride.  Very surprisingly, I counted 24 bikes at the stop but I think I missed two at the gas pumps as I think about it.  John Wladoch was quite pleased with the results and asked if he could do another ride in July.  If someone wants to talk with him further maybe it'll be a go.  I'm doing a ride on the 4th and the 9th then heading to Reno hopefully.  I invited John on the "Chicken Run" on the 9th.
