What are your plans for getting to Faribault on Saturday?
« on: May 14, 2012, 07:59:45 PM »
I'm not much for jumping on the freeway and running 70 - 75 mph to get to Faribault, so I'm planning on taking the scenic route there through Cannon Falls, Northfield then into Faribault.  It will take a little longer to get there but should be a much more enjoyable ride.  I'll probably take the freeway back but that depends on how late it gets before I leave (not much for riding in the dark either).

Let me know if you're interested and I'll set a starting point (The Point?) and time (7:30?).

I'm in for it, as long as it gets us there early, so we can help set up.

Keep us posted for the definate meeting place and time.  But the point seems ok and the time seems ok.

I have had a request from Cindy and Ann to ride with Robin and I on back roads but we will not be leaving at 7:30.

Jane if you want to go along I could give you some group riding help.

I am thinking we will leave about 9:00 from Century any one who wants to ride with us is welcome but the ladies like a little slower pace.

That's cool Bear.  Pat and I want to get there early to see if they need some help with setup.

Bear,

Don't quite know yet when Ella is getting back to town, if she is back in time, we will probably join you to travel down Saturday morning, if she isn't, I may just go down solo...

My current plans are to join up with the group at Century - Ella may be back in time to join, current plans call for her to be home Friday night.

Way to highjack my thread (and ride) Bear!  LOL

Pat.  What time did you want to get to J&J?  Leaving the Point at 7:30 would get us there between 8:45 to 9 AM based on the route I've selected.  Let me know and we can adjust accordingly.   ;)

The piont is a truck stop just north of Hastings that we use as a jumping off piont for alot of rides south.

Like Bear said, only with a picture thingy

(actually Google put the red push pin a bit too far north;
it's below where US10 splits off to the east)

Right next to the Holiday Station at Hwy 10 and Hwy 61.  You can't miss it.

Got it, that's about 2.5 miles further North than where we pick up 10.  Since we live on the East side, we always come down St. Croix Trail S (CR 21) and pick up 10 about a mile from Prescott.  We generally go South on the Wisconsin side of the river (35)...

Jim,

If we could make it 7:00am, that would be better for me.  What do you think?
