How about a zig-zag ride into Wisconsin?
« on: September 07, 2012, 05:01:03 PM »
Anyone up for a ride tomorrow?  I put a route together made up of new roads that wind through a part of WI that I hadn't ridden before until this week.  Some really nice curvy roads with a bit of zig-zag routing, well ... you'll see.  I know its a bit late notice but anyone who can meet us at the Holiday station just north of I-94 and Manning, it looks like a nice day to have almost 200 miles and about 5-6 hours of good riding.  We will also pick up anyone at The Point to leave by 10:30 am.

Can't make it, have to work.  Bummer.  But, I will call Neville and let him know of the pick up at the Point at 10:30.

Ride safe and enjoy the day.

Just got home 320 windy but fun miles. I hope your WI ride went well.

We got down to to the German restaurant about 1:00 and we were her first people of the day (4 more came in when we were there)

She said she may be closing her doors and that would be sad.

If anyone else wants to go down and buy schnitzel from her maybe even next Saturday I would go again. It is sad to see the small towns going under.

Yes!  Jen and I would also like to say thank you Alan and Cliff for a great Ride today!  Aside from the wind building at the end of the day, it was exactly what Jen and I like as far as curves, back roads, pace, butt breaks  ::), and hanging out with you guys.  :)

And thanks again Alan for lunch.

Christopher and Jenny,

Glad you guys went on a ride with some of our membership on Saturday. It is always fun.   You have been on a couple of rides and to a meeting, how are we doing?  If this fits with your needs, consider joining our band of merry men and women.  Hope to see you at the Sept. meeting.

Alan, thanks for leading this ride.  Sometimes last minute rides work well.  I experienced the wind too, on my way to work.  Wish I could have gone with you guys.   :(
