We may already have a hint for a March - Vegas - STARBQ - wedding???        

For sure!!! Might have to take a Vegas ride in March for the SW STARBQ! I would hope to get those miles to count

Alan: Confession: Yes -That is my thought! No plans as of yet tho. I was thinking it would be a lot of fun to combine both, but reality tells me, I won't have time to ride our bikes there. I thought about trailering them (poss. weather issues), but it's still a lot of driving. With my "new" job, I need to watch the "time off" since I want to go to STAR Days this year.  Rentals were suggested if we fly out to Vegas, so that IS something we'll consider, even if they are Harleys.

Wanting to know if YOU want to continue with the ornament exchange this year? I wanted to do an Adopt a Soldiers Family for the holidays, but it takes a bit more planning than when I thought of it in Oct.

This past week, I met Carroll Partridge, an American Legion Commander for the 4th District. We were discussing the "Shop, Ship & Share" project their district is working on. Right now it is a monetary donation they are seeking to help ship 1000 boxes (approx $13/box to ship) overseas to our Service members by Dec. 8th. He said they usually have a large number of packages that don't get (or delayed) shipped because of funding shortages. My thought was, if we donate the money spent on the ornaments, it would help them ship the packages that don't make it.

Let me know what YOU think of this or If you have another IDEA,Please say so!

I'd rather buy a box for a service member rather than an ornament.  But this says they were shipping by the 8th which was Saturday.

Getting back to the topic of our Dec. meeting.....

We will have ride waivers to sign for the coming year at this meeting.  Please bring your drivers license (with Motorcycle endorsement) and proof of insurance. 

We will officially vote in and install Patrick McNeil as our VP.

We will discuss the upcoming IMS show, plus other things.  Hope to see a lot of you at this meeting.

i am for buying boxs for service members, and like it said they have a large number of packages that are shiped late because of funding shortages.

I'd rather buy a box for a service member rather than an ornament.  But this says they were shipping by the 8th which was Saturday.

As I said, They have MANY boxes left over that can NOT be shipped by the goal date, until more funding comes in. He was aware of our meeting date and let me know their deadline is mainly to guarantee the boxes will arrive by Christmas.


Cost per box is @ $13.00 to ship, but ANY amount is welcome.

To those who attended the meeting, thanks for taking time out of your week-end and battling the inclement weather.  

Thanks Kathy and Doug and Pappa Chachi for bringing food for us.  It was very good.  

Congrats to Patrick McNeil, our new VP.  Thanks for reelecting me as Pres. I will do my best for the members of our Chapter in 2013.  

Looking forward to the big get-to-gether on Jan. 27th.  

Thanks Bear for spear heading the "monkey Butt" award program. That was fun and interesting, to say the least.  

Welcome to the two new guests.  Hopefully you will become part of our merry band of fools in 2013.
