Thanks for the info Alan, I'll make some calls tomorrow.

I wouldn't mind borrowing the Chapter's G4's and riding tail for you.  I keep looking at the G9's but cringe every time I look at the price.   :o

The STAR Touring code for Choice Hotels is 00802099.  They'll give you a blank stare if you try to use it at the front desk, but the 800# (800-521-2121 or maybe 800-258-2847) or http://www.choiceprivileges.com should work.  Thinking about it now, that local 217- number probably won't work.  I used the android app to book.

Here's a little secret - once you register, download and install the new firmware, your G9 will have all the capabilities of the G9x's.  (As confirmed last weekend at the IMS and also after talking with a Cardo Systems rep at the Orlando Motorcycle Show in October.)

You got to love a new bike. We will have to see what Alan does this spring but it looks like we will not be having many Star bikes riding down to the Star BQ. Not that there is anything wrong with that.
