Ah, back on topic.  :)  

Currently, the route follows US-52 through Dixon about 10 miles to the east.  Rock Falls wouldn't change the route much; what's there?

He also recommend a place called Poopy's in Savana, IL on US84 as a breakfast stop out of Galena.
