Cheese Curd Ride by the Dorf
« on: January 08, 2015, 03:12:57 PM »
The DORF is back in action. . . We're heading out to eat cheese curds.  This is an all day ride that will be around 200-250 miles  This NOT recommended for less experienced riders.

When: Sunday June 7
Meet At:  Century Power Sports in Stillwater
9:00:  Waiver review and safety checks
9:30:  Kickstands up

If you have not signed a ride waiver with Chapter 444, it is recommended that you download a copy and fill it out in advance.  You will need a valid license with motorcycle endorsement and a copy of your insurance card.  An officer of our chapter will sign your waiver.

Web Master - can you attach a pdf copy of the ride waiver to this posting?  Done.

Which cheese factory are you going to? I was going to plan another cheesey ride again but don't want to over lap on yours.

Just did the pre ride yesterday with Alan and Duane, the ride will be on many cool back roads and will take us to Ellsworth, Durand and finally end in Nelson WI. Should be around 230 miles depending on interest getting home. Some very obscure roads, get ready for an adventure and stocking up on some really good cheese. We all had some great cheese curds yesterday
See you all soon
Ken

This will be a very nice ride - highly recommended! :D

(especially on a warm June day ... a cooler was not needed during the chilly pre-ride yesterday! ;D)

Ken, lets allow a couple minutes to pair G9s - I will have reset them during the Friday and Saturday ride.

OK everyone, Did another pre-run and found some additional cool roads to take you all on, Ill bet many of you have never been on these. The ride will take us to Ellsworth then onto Plum City for lunch - after lunch we will stop for gas in Durand and then onto more fun riding finally ending up in Nelson. After some more cheese or ice cream, you decide - I will lead home over on the Minnesota side. If you want to go home a different way that will be up to you, we will all have enjoyed your company as far as you want to ride with us. Don't forget your ride waivers, Kickstand up 9:30 am at Century Power parking Lot. The only way we are not going if its going to bad weather. LETS ALL EAT SOME CHEESE

The ride is cancelled due to weather, I have a smaller ride planned if anyone is interested, it is some interesting roads over to star prairie Wisconsin for lunch, we leave at 10:30 am from same place and I'll have you home by 2:00 pm. I'm sure it will be fun. The roads I was going to take you on will be to washed out to ride
Let's still ride and have some fun
