Prior to this accident Neville had asked me to plan a ride we were going to lead to the worlds largest candy store. I'm wondering if anyone would be willing to help plan this ride with me. I'd also like to include a celebration upon completion of the ride. Maybe a potluck BBQ somewhere

I just want to take a moment to thank everyone who attended Neville's service. It meant a lot to the family. I heard some of the family say how much they appreciated the support from us. I am sorry I didn't lead you all back, I felt some of us should accept their invitation for refreshments. Afterwards we took the long way home and stopped at Marine on St Croix for a bite to eat, to honor our departed friend!

I hope everyone got home OK.

Rich

P.S. Next year August 29, 2016 is on a Monday. I would like to ride and put flowers on Neville's grave on the 28 of August and not ride on the freeway this time.

I was also proud of how many showed up to honor Neville.

On the way home, 4 of us stopped by the accident site off of Hwy 61.  We may never know what exactly happened, but it may have been he fell asleep and by the time he realized what was happening, it was too late.  A person who rode with Neville that day (who just happened to stop when we were there) said at the end of the ride, he fell asleep at the final meeting get-to-gether in Newport, before he departed for home.

I am so glad that the STAR foundation has sent Kalene a check.  That is what is was meant for.  Thank you STAR. Thanks to Rich and Wolfgang for following through and helping make it happen.  Proud to know so many from our Chapters at STAR.  I hope this will never have to be used again.

I'm going to do a pre ride tomorrow afternoon if anyone wants to join I'll be leaving around 2pm. Probably going to be headed south torwards hastings and head west torwards Henderson from there then end up by shakopee burnsville area.

Talked a little with papa he offered up his house a start point for the potluck. That would be an excellent starting point. Would pass by Neville's crash site. That would work out that way.

If anyone wants to go tomorrow let me know

Jason if you have a lot of bikes a stop at the crash site might be a bad idea.  The only place to pull off of 61 would be blocking two driveways.

Roadie I think that would be OK. At least then those who would like to go back at a later time in smaller numbers would know where to stop.

Thanks for putting this together.
